Tuppil takes over Bhaya operations as new GM

Bhaya Cruise has promoted its Cruise Manager, Allan Parungao Tuppil as the company’s new General Manager effective March 1, 2009.

Mr. Tuppil, a Filipino national, has replaced Vincent Le Cannelier in overseeing the entire cruise operations of Bhaya. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Mostly, he worked at the managerial positions for various restaurants of high-end hotels, including Sheraton, Novotel, Nandos International, and Nikko JAL Hotels in the Middle East, South Africa , and the Pacific.

Mr. Tuppil spent 15 years in countries like Dubai , Oman , Saudi Arabia , South Africa , Bahrain , Philippines and Palau before moving to Vietnam and joined Bhaya as Cruise Manager on August 2008.

He obtained a Bachelors Degree of Management at the Far Eastern University (FEU) in the Philippines .

Bhaya II is scheduled to commence operation in Oct 31st, 2008

Hanoi, 22 Oct 2008- Bhaya Cruises celebrates the launch of Bhaya II. Built in the style of King Khai Dinh’s (1885-1925) ancient vessel which sailed waters of the Halong Bay almost a century ago, Bhaya II is another wooden luxury cruise vessel designed by talented French architects who have designed the famed Bhaya I.

Similar to her twin sister vessel, Bhaya II provides 20 spacious and luxurious cabins including 2 Royal Suites (16.5m2), 2 Bhaya Suites (14.5m2) and 16 Deluxe cabins (12.5m2). All cabins are equipped with twin or double beds, private bathroom and shower, internal telephone, and air conditioning.

The new 40-meter cruise vessel’s features a spacious restaurant serving eastern and western delicacies, a spa, a shop and a boutique library spreading over on three decks. It also features a large Sundeck, offering 3600 panoramic views of the Bay.

With the launch of Bhaya II, Bhaya twin sister vessels will provide a total of 40 cabins, accommodating up to 80 passengers for all kinds of incentives and events.

Bhaya Spirit creates a benchmark of upscale 3D/2N cruising program

Hanoi, 20 Oct 2008 – This October, Bhaya Spirit, a new member of Bhaya family, will go into service. Built in the same Oriental style and luxury standard as the large cruise vessels, Bhaya Spirit features a single deck with an expansive foredeck and a spacious restaurant with panoramic windows. The boat is 20 meters long and has a capacity of up to 20 day trip passengers for sightseeing and kayaking cruises around the Bay.

New Bhaya Café opens in Halong City

Hanoi, 15 Oct 2008 – Bhaya Cruises opens Bhaya Café in Halong City. Located next to Halong Plaza Hotel, the Bhaya Café offers scenic views over the Halong Bay and the Hon Gai Bridge. The new Café provides an elegant, convenient and comfortable place for passengers to relax and refresh themselves for embarking and disembarking their cruises. The Café can cater up to 80 passengers and serves a variety of wines and beverages. It is also planned to provide high quality dinning services for independent travelers and group travels venturing to Halong.

Bhaya Cruises to attend International Travel Trade Shows this year

Hanoi, 15 Sep 2008 - Bhaya Cruises informs that the cruise operator schedules to attend serveral International Travel trade shows including Top Resa, IBT Asia and WTM from now to the end of year 2008.
